In the space race, there were countless goals to be achieved. Both the Americans and the Russians started smashing records everywhere. Before long, however, it was clear the Americans would gain victory in the race to the moon. The USSR instead turned their thinking elsewhere. The next prize they focussed on was the marathon of space endurance. Six days to proceed to the moon and back was nothing. Cosmonauts stayed in space for two weeks, then a month, then two months and so on. In the end, two cosmonauts continued in space for longer than a year!

But, this test of endurance carried a price. Doctors studying the arriving cosmonauts spotted startling after-effects. At first it only appeared to be exhaustion. However, the more they continued in in orbit, the worse it grew. Those cosmonauts arriving back after a long stint in orbit could barely move after touching down on Earth.  In reality, simply inhaling was distressing for the first few minutes. It was taking the returning travellers weeks or even months to completely get better. To begin with the examining medics and mission managers were confounded. What could be generating these reactions? After effecting many, many tests, medics came across the cause. The cosmonauts’ muscles were gravely weakened. It wasn’t just one series of muscles, it was all muscles, all over their physiques. The predominant effect was the reverse of bodybuilding, it was more like body-wasting.

The cosmonauts were working out though. Space scientists had realised that floating in space for an extended stint would probably cause a depletion of muscle. So, the medics created a fitness program for the cosmonauts to follow whilst they were in orbit. The problem was, the plan wasn’t demanding enough. It didn’t end the reactions to zero gravity, it just slowed them down. The solution was to drive the cosmonauts to work out harder. They had to exercise for far more time every day and more powerfully. This succeeded.

Bringing this back home, the contemporary lifestyle we have can mean your muscles behaving in an equivalent way. It’s all too straightforward to go from lying in bed to sitting in the automobile, to sitting in the office, to sitting back down in your house again.   Unhappily, months or years of this can bring about your muscles perishing away. No one fancies attaining old age or even middle age and being too infirm to enjoy it. Yet that is progressively what is taking effect.

Therefore, why not go out for a stroll during your lunch-hour and when you have the option, climbing the stairway (at least part-way) rather than taking the lift? Consult your physician about building a workout plan and then stick to it. Even better, build something more demanding in your regime. It doesn’t have to be exclusively bodybuilding; strength training or weight training will work just as well to start with. Your muscles will say thank you to you for it.

One of the worst health conditions – Anxiety Disorder – has been one of the more difficult to treat absolutely with medication.   The reason for the challenge in regard to this ailment is that the effects of a panic attack are both physical and mental and there are extreme challenges in the development of a single drug that can have the desired results.  The cause of such a dilemma is the need for a drug that can affect such a wide spectrum of symptom areas in the body without great risk and significant side effects.

The pharmaceutical companies have largely given up on such drug research, especially in regard to a one-size fits all approach and this is certainly true for less than severe sufferers of an anxiety attack.  This does not mean that research hasn’t produced results in developing drugs that work.  However, the successes have largely resulted in the development of drugs for specific symptom areas in the body, rather than an all-encompassing medication that treats multiple symptoms.

Because of the lack of single-drug solutions for anxiety disorder, drug solutions are typically found in combination strategies. Only by working very closely with their doctors and documenting monitored reactions can severe sufferers expect to find real solutions.

If you have been battling an anxiety disorder for some time without good results then you are probably a candidate for a drug solution.

The challenge then becomes the selection and researched verification that it/they are the right choice.  Just saying that makes it sound easy but it very definitely is not a simple process.  It is likely that your doctor(s) are facing the same dilemma in selecting even a starting point in regard to medication.  There are a number of drug strategies and many of them are not specifically intended for panic attacks but can work well in regard to specific symptoms.  It is the combination strategy and the direct match to your chemistry and general health condition that presents the challenge.

You should begin with a list of medications that have shown significant effects in this area.  Such a list is easily obtain through minimal research online.  Then you can begin the process of identifying which drug combinations are possible or suggested and then you can start to weed out those that have side effects that are in conflict with your overall health condition.  Omit the homeopathic and herbal categories as these are symptom-relievers only and not drugs that cure.
